On Friday, October 30th, our team and friends went to see the “X-Men Master: Gordon Smith” exhibition at the CIBC Canadian Film Gallery. We had a chance to meet the master himself and take a close look at Smith’s spectacular work that helped the comic-book characters such as Mystique and Wolverine come alive.
Make up artist and special effects designer Gordon Smith, Ontario native and graduate of the University of Windsor’s theatre program, talked about the silicone prosthetic technology that he developed and applied wile working on X-men and X2. The exhibition included everything from sketches to silicone masks and costumes.
