The Greatest Movie Ever Sold

Friday February 8th, the Pixel Dreams Team hosted “The Greatest Movie Ever Sold.

The event kicked off with Morgan Spurlock’s 2011 documentary film about product placement, marketing and advertising in movies and TV shows.

The documentary follows Spurlock while he examines the increased magnitude of branding in every aspect of our lives while attempting to lure big-name brands to sponsor his cheeky exposé. Companies love to push their products, and it seems like everywhere we go, someone is trying to sell us something.

But have you ever wondered what goes on behind closed doors at some of the biggest advertising agencies in the world? This eye-opening documentary provides viewers with an inside look as he convinces a variety of high-profile sponsors to let him pitch their products as “The Greatest,” while still maintaining complete control over his creative vision -something that has become increasingly rare in the entertainment industry.

If you haven’t seen The Greatest Movie Ever Sold, we strongly suggest you do.

After the documentary, the floor was then open for an intimate Q&A session with Pixel Dreams’ Creative Director, Lannie Le, and Founder, Khalid Mokhtarzada.  The two covered subject matter from Branding and Identity to Positioning and Creating a culture.

It was a Brand-Filled Friday, something we are very passionate about here at Pixel Dreams.
